The Dia Engel project is a nationwide, voluntary project that aims to:to provide free and sustainable support on the phone and in chat.Those affected with diabetes (including children and adolescents with diabetes), relatives, the socialDias clientele is the environment and people who have questions about diabetesAngel.The Dia Engel project offers those affected and their relatives the opportunity to work in oneto be able to talk about their problems and questions in a safe space.
The conversations with theThe angels are anonymous, which means the callers are protected and can open upspeak up without fear of negative consequences.
The feeling withto talk to someone who is positive towards you and shows compassion and sympathy,offers relief for the callers and helps.
That the callers: inside with the Dia EngelsPeople can speak who have personal or close environment experiencesHaving diabetes gives you an additional level of (often psychological) reliefcallers arise.
Here the focus is particularly on the received andmutual understanding that people with diabetes and their relatives have in everyday lifecan be missing if there is no contact with other (co-)affected people.
